Your data never leaves your browser
Build Resume processes all resume content locally. We have no access to the information you type — no names, no work history, no personal details.
Welcome to Build Resume ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit buildresume.dev, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
We do not save your resume data. Build Resume is designed as a client-side application. The personal information, work experience, and other details you enter into the resume builder are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit or store your resume data on our servers — ever.
To keep Build Resume free for everyone, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. These third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their browsing history. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://myadcenter.google.com/.
We may use third-party analytics services (such as Vercel Analytics) to monitor and analyze usage of our Service. These tools collect anonymized information sent by your browser — including general page view data and interaction patterns. This information is used solely to understand user behavior and improve the Service. No personally identifiable resume content is collected.
Build Resume optionally supports Google Sign-In for enhanced features. If you choose to sign in, we receive your name and email address from Google solely for the purpose of identifying your session. We do not share this information with third parties, and you may use the builder without signing in at any time.
When you export a resume (as PDF or image), we may log an anonymized record of the export event (export type and timestamp) to measure platform usage. No resume content is logged. If you are signed in, your email may be associated with the log entry for audit purposes only.
Build Resume is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
